High Five to Mobile Schools

Mobile County schools has 9 of the 13 Torchbearer Scools in all of Alabama.

A Torchbearer School is a highest-performing high-poverty school.  And all the Torchbearers in Alabama are elementary schools.  I want ot give my applause to the following schools:

George Hall in Mobile’s Maysville community (7 years in a row)

Gilliard on Dauphin Island Parkway (7 years in a row)

Indian Springs in Prichard (7 years in a row)

Spencer in midtown (7 years in a row)

     Booth in Bayou La Batre

      Calcedeaver in northwest Mobile County

Brazier in Mobile’s Trinity Gardens community

     Orchard on Howells Ferry Road

     Robbins in Prichard

Thank you teachers, principals, and all faculty for your excellence in teaching.
